Cover Girl Eyeshadows @ Poundland

It's rare to see Cover Girl in the UK, so I was surprised when I saw them at Poundland and picked up all the shades they currently had in the store, being obviously £1 each.
They aren't old shades, actually they have them all on the Cover Girl website in the same packaging.
The shadows themselves are pretty good, the singles are extremely soft with descent pigmentation and the trio is good but not as soft.
I'm so going back to look out for more!

009 Sterling Blue- Icy silvery blue

525 Forever Fig- Pearly brown plum.

119 Dazzling Metallics- All sparkly. Burnt orange, black, yellow gold.

Illamasqua The Art Of Darkness

Sadly I could not attend the latest Bloggers event, but seriously I wasn't expecting package to turn up with these goodies. So thank you so much Illamasqua!

I received two items from the Autumn/Winter collection 'The Art Of Darkness' one of them is a dark matte navy blue lipstick, freaking wow. :)

Lipstick in Disciple- This is the only lipstick in the current A/W collection and is described as a 'Deep Navy, Matte Finish' which is exactly that. I suppose it could appear almost black when on the lips but you definitely tell it's a blue navy.
The lipstick is matte and this one is sadly quite drying, I would advise to wear a lip balm underneath which I didn't do in my pics.
Anyhow surprisingly this lipstick is really decently pigmented, usually most brands would just put out a freakishly daring shade really annoyingly sheer. I'm so glad they chose not to and this is what I love about it.
I also detect a slight lovely Vanilla scent on this one.
Priced at £15.00

Precision Ink in Alchemy - Beautiful glitzy tarnished yellow gold without any chunks of grit, yet so sparkly. This liner can be used anywhere on the face and body, which is so versatile. If that's not enough they claim that's it's waterproof, which of course knowing me I tested this out.
I swatched then rinsed under running water and it didn't budge or smudge. Worryingly I thought it'd be a nightmare to take off, but it came off like a piece of cake with a makeup wipe.
The tip is a long felt which I do prefer rather than a brush.
I do hope they will eventually make more colours, a deep red would be fabulous. They currently have this shade and a black. The liner is expensive but in this case you're getting what you pay for.
Priced at £16.50

Another Palette From Claire's

Since I had so much luck with the other Claire's palette I purchased which you can see my review here.
I decided to cave in and buy another palette which costs £5.00, this one has 10 shadows which are about the size of a 2 pence piece. The eyeshadow pans are decorated with butterflies and iridescent overlay.
Now I was expecting all bright pigmented colours but in this palette what you will receive is a hit and miss. Most of them are ok, others are not very good and a few are actually really pigmented.
They aren't the smoothest shadows but are very easy to blend.

Overall I would say it's a really cute palette and fun if you like to play around with colour. Obviously you could get them to work much better if you use a eyeshadow primer/base.

Sleek LE Pout Polishes

Looks like Sleek brought these colours out only for the summer.
Tinted balms are becoming big and I'm falling for them all the time.
I purchased both of the limited editions '943 Lemon Meringue' and 994 Raspberry Souffle'
They're both smooth and balmy and glossy without an ounce of stickiness and just have the right amount of colour for them to work.

I was hoping for a scent that reflected the shade names, but nope just the same regular scent for both which is like a sweet cake smell with a slight sweet taste just slightly plastically, who knows it may grow on me.

Lemon Meringue- A sheer yellow, makes you lips look sort of peachy

Raspberry Souffle- A nice bright magenta.

Priced at £3.99 and is available in-store at Superdrug or online from Sleek. Not bad at all since they provide colour, moisture and SPF15. Just you may love the scent or hate it.

~* Barry M Trio Eyeshadows *~

I've been saying this for quite some time in my 'comments' section that wouldn't it be great if Barry M made some pressed shadows.....and as you can see they did. This is the newest release from Barry M and there's eight trios to choose from!
They're all priced at £5.99 each, luckily Superdrug have a 3 for 2 offer going on, so I took this advantage. :)

They have a lovely colour selection in their line and the packaging is just like their blushes with the leaf floral detail on the clear casing.

I was expecting quite a bit, since their Dazzle Dusts are just completely astonishing. So creamy, thick, block colour pigment was on my mind, pretty much like Sleek palettes.
This is not the case at all, sure the pigment is descent enough but the texture is hardly soft but smooth enough once on the skin and is very easy to blend.

Seriously their pigmentation is ok but not so seriously a 'wow wow' kind of thing, which I was expecting. Saying that I'd probably pick up a few more as I really like the colour selection and specially the gleam and shimmer that some of them do actually pay off.

Golden Goddess- Cream, Copper and Espresso shades.

Paradise Passion- Aqua, Yellow and purple.

Pretty Pastels- Fairy pink, Pale Lilac, Baby blue.

Barry M do need to sort out the name thing, you'll only ever see the name of the shade if you go online or look at shelves instore. They just leave numbers on the actual product, which is confusing indeed.
