Dove Caring Beauty Lip Balm

It suddenly occurred to me that Dove are now making lip care. They currently have two versions which is the original and a shimmer. For some reason the shimmer one doesn't interest me so I went for this one. They both cost around £2.54 each so it's really not bad in price.
The tube is in the same style as Nivea balms, I reckon they could've at least tried to be a bit different. :)

The first thing I did notice is the scent of this balm is the same kind of  clean powdery smell you'd get from their soap and bath products. Which may off put some but I actually like it!
To me I cannot detect a taste.

On to the formula, it's not thin, very creamy and buttery and feels very nourishing. Despite all that it's barely visible on the lips so MEN if you're reading this and need some moisture without looking like it, this is for you.
Purchased at Superdrug

Celia Birtwell @ Boots

Celia Birtwell is a textile designer that has a fairly newish, makeup accessory range available at Boots. The packaging is absolutely beautiful ranging from vanity table mirrors to brushes, at steal worthy prices.

First up is the 'Eyeshadow Brush' which you can tell straight away that it's Anna Sui inspired.
The quality itself is outstanding, so soft, dense and precise. And guess how much this is? £4.89!

Cherry scented lip balm yummy! It smells like a moderate burst of cherryade and comes in a lovely shiny tin.
The texture of this is very thin and not greasy, you can tell it will moisturise though. This would be a perfect base under your lipstick. This sets you back at £3.50

So there you have it. I do need to get more of her stuff though, because it's so worth it!
You're paying for quality and yet alone gorgeous designs. :)

Palmer's Lip Butter

So we've all heard of Palmer's Cocoa Body Butter, and yes I'm a fan. But these lip butters are truly something else! The description on the packaging is what you get. Best of all the scents are real, they don't smell artificial in any way!
If you like the feeling of slippery balmy gloss, love the name of the scents and want something that's moisturizing, these are for you.
I actually apply one of these every night with my skincare routine, and wake up with prepped smooth smackers!
My first buy was the Dark Chocolate & Peppermint which you can buy in Superdrug or Boots etc.
The other two i had to buy on Ebay, as I've never seen these around here. :(

Dark Chocolate & Peppermint: Smells exactly like After Eights choccies.
Dark Chocolate & Cherry: Replicates the smell of Green & Blacks Cherry choc.
Medicated: Smells not as strong as the others more menthol like and minty. This actually has a cooling tingly sensation, but not harsh in my opinion.

Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter- A nice twist to the Vaseline Pocket Size range. I love anything cocoa butter and vanilla. I do detect a vanilla smell to this with the cocoa. A thin slightly glossy consistency and does the job, this is yummy! Costs only £1.99 too. :)

Twilight Beauty Volturi Labyrinth Loose Eyeshadow in Dawn- A beautiful antiqued shimmering bronze. Heavily pigmented and I think I applied too much in my swatch. The loose pigment is chunky but easily blended and seems to stick to the eyelid very well. I love these shadows, they have soft almost liquefied texture.

Barry M Glitter Liquid Eyeliner in 03- I have no idea what the actual name of this is, as they took it off the website and I only purchased it around 2 weeks ago at Superdrug. It's a beautiful colour with tones of silver, grey and blue. It's very densely packed and the glitters are tiny.

Rimmel Cool Shine Lipstick in 030 Plunge- Anyone remember these lipsticks? They were on the market for a few months, around a few years back and then suddenly disappeared and landed in large amounts at pound shops, that's when I picked a load up. I really wonder why? Rimmel seem to have a knack at discontinuing lip products very quickly, much like a very well loved lipstick in Foxy

Anyhow going onto the actual lipstick, it has a lovely pleasing cooling sensation and it doesn't feel like menthol. Glossy it is and the pigment is very good for these types of lipsticks. The colours came mostly in shimmering sparkly shades. Plunge is a strawberry sparkled pink.

Vampiress Beauty Randomness 17

H&M Eyeshadow Duo in Most Wanted Beauty- Gorgeous shimmery tones of frosty cream and deep fig purple toned brown. Overall lovely pigmentation and only costs £1.99!

Radox Moisture Soak- My favourite ever bubble bath in liquid form. Smells like sugared sweet roses and the most moisturising. I try other bubble baths but always without a doubt come back to this. You can pick this up almost anywhere within the UK.

Carmex Strawberry- The only lip balm I find that actually heals dried sore chapped lips and now it comes in strawberry too. I think I still prefer my cherry over this one though. It's a very sweet strawberry scent.

Natural Collection Juicy Lips Lip Gloss in Caramel Shortcake- A lovely warm nude shade, but I don't really like this gloss. The glossiness fades nearly straight away and it has the most weirdest texture, like bitty flour and there's no glitter nor shimmer in this gloss. Anyhow the scent does not in anyway smell like 'Caramel Shortcake' more like synthetic fruit and it tastes strangely very sweet. I'm not terribly over disappointed though as it only costed me £1.99.

A Peek Into My Lip Balm Drawer

I'm a lip balm addict and a hoarder and I should probably toss a few of these as some of them have probably gone bad but I do use more than I waste which is a good thing I suppose. My boyfriend is also a lover of lip balm and is probably going to kill me when he reads this, he actually has his own little stash too.

I just love the feel of this stuff on my lips, come on spill who loves lip balm too? :)

Dirty Works Go Balmy! Berry Lip Balm

Look familiar?
Sainsbury's are currently stocking a bodycare range named Dirty Works which is a ringer for Soap & Glory but shhh a lot cheaper too. Now we know it's not pink but it still has that retro feeling, pale blue and lemon polka dots.
I picked up this lip balm and a few other things which I still need to post about.
This cost me £1.66 as it was on offer but the usual price is £2.49, which isn't bad either for this type of product.
I was expecting a burst of berry goodness when I opened the tube but it is rather subtle, and the taste isn't too sweet either so great for the sensitive types. The texture is in the middle being not too thin or thick and is very glossy.
Now don't expect this to stay on your lips for a long time because it won't, it starts to disappear within 10 minutes, but you are left with prepared soft moisturised lips.

The bad?
I wanted a stronger scent but that's about it, worth a try!

Nivea Lip Care Light Kiss

Nivea is famous for it's creams but also it's lip care.
So some of their lip balms have been rather boring and a few not doing their job that well like the blue tube I'm trying to finish... but yes seriously 'Light Kiss' is something else, I have never come across a formula that is unique and gives me a feeling like I want to apply this again and again. The texture is simply amazing!
As soon as you apply it you feel a icy sensation that isn't tingly but cooling, you get a really beautiful scent which I would describe as a buttermilk floral, yes strangely enough it's dreamy!
The texture straight away seems oily, then it decides to go balmy and dissolves into your lips. This is why I think this is a perfect lip base as you will get moisturised lips without ruining the texture of your lipstick.
This baby cost £2.99 and if you put it in a high end packaging you really wouldn't know.

The packaging comes in a plastic screw top container and also has a foiled layer to keep freshness like butter. :)
It would be nice if they would make a option of having a tube version.
