FOTD: Potential Wedding Look #3

Hey Guys!
I was on YouTube looking up different makeup looks from several popular YouTubers and I came across Pixiwoos for a "Naturally Defined" Bridal look which I thought I'd try out. I didn't have any of the products used, but I made due with what I own and think the outcome is exactly what I'm looking for. I know Charles will be especially happy because it's not dramatic, but dramatic enough that it will show up beautifully in photos.

WEDDING UPDATE: The Cake!
Hey Guys!
I haven't done a wedding update in a long time! Charles and I have finally booked our decorator, florist, and limo a few weeks ago when we went to a Wedding Show in town. We got some great deals, but I really don't have any pictures to share so I haven't bothered posting. My friends are currently planning my Stag and Doe which is getting me really excited! I've decided on a bakery for my wedding cake. This picture was taken from their website and is very similar to the idea I have in my mind as to what I want my wedding cake to look like. Mine will be 3-4 layers, taller and less wide, with similar ribbon and flowers running down the side. I don't have an exact picture, but this gives a pretty good idea!

FOTD: Potential Wedding Look #2

Hey Guys!
Here is my second "Potential Wedding Look". I wanted to add a little more drama/colour and see how I liked it. It looked a lot better in person than in photographs and though I used a LOT of different eyeshadows, the colour was very subtle. I wore this eyeshadow combo to bottle wine and I also wore it the night of my Stag and Doe. My goal for the Stag and Doe was just to make everyone have a good time and not make profit so I gave out a lot of prizes and had cheap liquor. In the end, I had a blast and raised a few grand. Woo hoo!

FOTD: Potential Wedding Look #1

Hey Guys!
As you know, I plan on doing my own makeup for my wedding. Currently I have no idea what colours I want to use. I know typically people wear a little bit more makeup on their wedding day because of the amount of photos that are being taken. I'm trying to find a good balance between looking good in photos and looking good in person. I will be taking photos outside as well as indoors with flash so I want to make sure my makeup looks flawless in both settings. Charles also prefers a more natural looking face, minimal eyeshadow, no false eyelashes so I'm trying to please him as well. I probably will end up wearing individual lashes or a half strip because I find lashes complete a look. I'll just have to make sure I won't wear my drag queen eyelashes so he won't be able to tell haha. This look is a pink bridal look. I plan on doing a more peach one later. I would like to do a few of these and maybe at the end I can put up a poll and see which one you guys like best!?

WEDDING UPDATE: Bachelorette Party in Vegas

Hey Guys!
My Bachelorette party is officially booked for Las Vegas at the end of May. I've never been to Vegas, but am VERY excited to be spending 5 nights there with 4 of my best friends. We decided to stay at Caesars Palace. I want to do everything in Vegas, but here are a few ideas...
Wet Republic @ MGM
PURE Nightclub @ Caesars Palace
Ghost Bar @ The Palms
Cirque Du Soleil KA

I'm not really into gambling so I won't be spending much time in the Casino. I will, however, be seeing all the attractions along the strip (i.e., fountains in front of the Bellagio...etc.) Is there anywhere you recommend to a newbie?

WEDDING UPDATE: Invitations
Hey Guys!
Sorry I haven't posted often. Someone left a comment on my formspring saying my blog bores them because I don't post often enough. To address my lack of posts, I have a full-time job, house renovations, and my wedding, along with both my brothers weddings, coming up this summer. I have a lot of things going on in my life which are taking time away from my blogging. I do plan on completing all my posts in my "Upcoming Posts" section, but it will take some time to complete. I appreciate all my followers patience and I have not forgot about you!
The past couple weekends I've been working on my Wedding Invitations. I made each invitation myself, even the envelopes have addresses in script. Here is a little taste of what they look like. Hope you all are having a wonderful Easter weekend! I'm off to Charles' parents' forest for an Easter Egg hunt and bonfire!

WEDDING UPDATE: Stag and Doe tickets!

Hey Guys!
My bridesmaids are looking after my Stag and Doe, but here is what my Stag and Doe tickets look like (minus the address). Maybe because Bella is so cute it will help us sell tickets ;) LOL
These were ordered off of ticketmaster.com and are great quality (you can't tell by the photo, but the image shoes up nicer in person and the border is metallic gold)! I highly recommend ordering from ticketmaster if you ever want custom tickets for an event!

My WEDDING is TOMORROW!!!!
Hey Guys!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all my followers. You guys have been so patient with me and the fact that I've been a terrible blogger the past few months. I can't begin to explain how excited and relieved that my wedding day is almost here! I'm VERY impatient and this week has been dragging for me. I have tons of ideas for posts (and videos!) planned once I return from my honeymoon and am settled in. I can't wait to share with you my special day. You will probably get sick of all the post-wedding/honeymoon blog posts I will be doing LOL
You can look forward to:

Wedding Update: Honeymoon location is...
Charles and I will be spending our honeymoon in...
SANTORINI, GREECE!

Charles and I have been thinking of places to spend our honeymoon. Initially we were thinking Hawaii, but then Charles mentioned to me that he would love to go to Greece, which reminded me of Santorini which I have wanted to travel to since my professor in first year university showed our lecture hall photos from her archeological dig! It apparently has the most beautiful sunsets in the world AND it is actually a Caldera (crater), an ancient rim of a still active volcano! The volcano part is submerged underwater... how cool is that?

Wedding Update!... the Hall...THE DRESS!
Hey everyone!
This is my first wedding post and I'm really excited to share with you all the things that have been going on in regards to my wedding. My wedding is not for another 9 months (July 23rd, 2011), but planning is in full swing. I will be going to a wedding show at the end of the month where I hope to find a photographer, designer, cake maker...etc. I've decided to share with you the dress I picked out as I have lectured Charles not to go snooping and get a glimpse before the wedding date (it's bad luck hehe).

I have ordered a long veil with white trim/ribbon around the edge which matches the ribbon under the bust. I have also purchased satin shoes with very little heel which are extremely comfortable, yet stylish. I left them at my parents house and unfortunately I didn't take a picture.
I want my hair half up, half down with loose waves. Kinda like what Jessica Simpson had when she married Nick Lachey.

I have three bridesmaids, my best friends Jasmine, Melissa and Rachel. I'm between 5'6"-5'7" and they are all well over 5'9"! I'm going to have one tall bridal party haha. I picked out strapless, floor length gowns with a small train in the colour champagne. They all look phenomenal in the gown. I've heard of brides who want to make the bridesmaids look like crap so they can look better, but I want them all to look HOT!

I've also picked out the hall. Well, ACTUALLY, my Dad picked out the hall. I went to visit it yesterday when I had my wedding tasting and it is absolutely breathtaking! Good job Dad! I wish I would have taken pictures, but there was a wedding going on at the time so I didn't bother. Here is photo taken off their website:

Food wise we will be having a buffet. Soup will be plated first followed by the buffet where there will be a ton to choose from: rolls, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, sea food tray, caesar salad, greek salad, pasta salad, spring mix, chicken w/ mushroom sauce, prime rib, salmon w/ hollandaise, roast potatoes, rice, cooked seasonal vegetables, various cakes, pastries, pies...etc. It was ridiculous how much food we got to sample at the tasting and the chef sat down with us and discussed everything we choose along with his recommendations. I'm really starting to get excited!
As for design and decor, I have some ideas, but definitely want to hire a decorator. I want to stick with neutral colours white and champagne. I was thinking of having flowers submerged in water vases as centerpieces. Something like this picture below (not these flowers though):
My cousin offered to DJ my wedding for free (booze) with two of his friends. They do clubs in Toronto and it will be nice for my parents to not have to worry about that expense (they are footing the bill). As more and more of the plans get finalized I will keep you updated! I will most likely be having an outdoor gazebo wedding, weather permitting of course, so lets cross our fingers that July 23rd will be sunny (and not too hot since my dress is super heavy haha)!

Wedding Update: Invitations

Hey Guys!
I went to a Wedding Show yesterday where Charles and I got a ton of great deals on some amazing businesses in our area for our wedding. This week we will be contacting our florist, decorator, limo company and tux rental. Everything is coming together so well and I was worried that wedding planning would be overwhelming! We also decided to make our own invitations and a few other little details (i.e., wedding favors) instead of hiring someone for this. I also will be making the center pieces. I love being involved in the decorations of the wedding since I'm pretty picky as to what I want. Here are a few pictures of some things I bought yesterday. The invitations aren't printed yet, but I have an example of how simple I want the invitation to look.
