Red Hot FOTD + NEW FAVE LIPSTICK!!!!!

Hey Beauties!
I hardly ever wear red lipstick because I think it looks bad on me for some reason. However, I'm feeling a bit romantic today so I thought I'd do my makeup and hair to match my mood! I have the day off and I'm making pasta for dinner for when my man gets home from work. Aren't I a good girlfriend? lol I cleaned the house too, so I'm being very productive. He will probably think I'm up to no good or that I want something... haha But really, I'm just all lovey dovey today. Anyways, here is my FOTD. Let me know what you think of the red lips!


I love how this lipstick makes my teeth look so white! If you don't have the whitest teeth already, sometimes you gotta watch which red you pick because it might just bring out the discolouration of your teeth more! Russian Red has a blue undertone to it so it's great for bringing out the white.

ALSO, I find my NEW FAVOURITE LIPSTICK!!!!! It's the colour I've been looking for for some time now. It's perfect. I got it in my NYX haul the other week. It's called "FIG" and it's from the Round Lipstick collection. <3 <3 <3

This is my last day off before I start my new job tomorrow! I will be working 48 hour weeks. *sigh*. I also have to be at work for 5:30 am tomorrow *double sigh*. It's going to be torture waking up...but i'm not complaining! haha I've been waiting to work full-time forever so it's about time I make some money. Cherry Culture NYX HAUL + Swatches! (PIC HEAVY)

Okay, so I ordered this on November 27 and it FINALLY arrived yesterday. One thing I hate about Cherry Culture is that it takes so long for the package to arrive in Canada. I swear they hold it at the border because the amount of cosmetics I get make up a bomb somehow... LOL I had over 2x the amount of product than this, but half was my friend Jasmine's (who is starting a blog, but hasn't made a post yet so I will let you all know the link when she actually has something to read).

I got quite a bit of product because it was 20% off the entire website! NYX is already cheap as it is, but this was dirt cheap. I honestly don't know why I buy so much high end products when I can get 10 things from NYX for the price of 1 high end item.

I know this is random, but does anyone have a remedy for a dry, scratchy throat? I wake up at night and it is sooo irritating it's hard to get back to sleep. I've tried drinking tea w/ honey and it works for a little bit, but then the dry, scratchy feeling comes back. I thought maybe I was dehydrated, but since I've been drinking plenty of liquids...I think I'm just coming down with something :( It never seems to fail that I get sick for the holidays! *sigh

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Glitter Creme Palette: This was really cheap at around $4 and I can see why. The consistency isn't the greatest and it's a bit hard to work with if you want precise placement and an even distribution of glitter. I'm also thinking that these aren't eye safe, but I could be wrong. With that said, I still think it's a really pretty palette and I'll be using it for an FOTD when I go out New Years Eve.

Ceramic Trio: A nice grey palette good for a smokey eye for day and night. The middle and far right colours are too similar IMO. I guess the far right one is a bit more shimmery. However, I absolutely LOVEEEE the middle grey colour and can see myself using this palette a lot! The colours are pigment, smooth and easy to blend! One of my favourites in this order.

Ultra Pearl Mania: I actually like the consistency of these better than MAC pigments! NYX are more finely milled. A great alternative to the pricey MAC pigments! Nude Pearl Pigment is fairly close to MAC Naked pigment, but a bit lighter and with no big glitter/sparkles! I was really impressed with all the pigments and will be picking up some more in the future.

Nail Polishes: These were really cheap so I decided to pick up a couple polishes for detail work. I've never really taken the time to do details on my nails before, but I gave it a go anyways. I ended up giving myself a manicure with the pink nail polish and silver glitter detail. I really love these polishes! I only used one coat of the Sinful Colours and it came out beautifully. I will definitely be buying more.

Round Lip Glosses: Only bought a couple of these this time. I'm in love with "Apricot". It is so pretty.

Round Lipstick: I absolutely love NYX Round Lipstick. They are so cheap, good quality, and stay on my lips a fair amount of time (depending on the colour). My favourites this order are Power, Louisiana, and Pumpkin Pie. Snow White is THE perfect red!

NYX Trio Eyeshadows- Lake Moss

 24 Kasım'da Cherry Culture'den takipsiz kargoyla aldığım bu ürün dün elime geçti. Renklere,farların yapısına,pigmentasyonuna bayıldım. Çok başarılı. Sürerken hiç tozutmuyor, kadife gibi. Henüz makyajda kullanma fırsatım olmadı ama eminim güzel sonuçlar çıkacaktır. Lake Moss gördüğünüz gibi birbirinden güzel 3 koyu ton içeriyor. Hafif ışıltılı koyu morumsu ve lacivete, yine koyu ama altın rengi ışıltıları daha belirgin olan yeşil eşlik etmiş. Çok da güzel olmuş. Bu serinin diğer renklerine de göz koymak farz oldu, ah bir de çabucak gelseler. 

  

Flaşlı-

Renkleri swatchla yansıtabilmek zor iş tabiki de beceremedim, fotoğraftakinden çok çok daha güzel tonlar. Herhangi bir baz kullanmadım bu arada.

Mini NYX Haul + Swatches! LOVEEEE ♥

My last haul from NYX was mostly lip products (click here to see post) and, surprise, this time I decided to purchase even more lipsticks and glosses! Just to let you know, I placed this order a few weeks ago and I just received it last week. Anyways, NYX products at Cherry Culture have been really cheap lately and they also had 20% off of everything so I had to pick something up (I wish I would have picked up more). I honestly loveee their lipsticks and glosses. They have such a great variety of colours and they are sooo cheap! I've been dying for a berry lip colour every since I saw Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body (yes, I obsess about makeup in movies, shows, magazines...etc, I know I have a problem lol). Anyways, I ordered a lipgloss I thought I might like and it's perfect! Here is everything I purchased:

As you can see I bought a back up of "Fig" because I love the colour so much. Overall I'm really happy with my purchases. I'm the most excited about "Garnet" because it is almost exactly the colour I've been searching for. "Garnet" appears darker in person, but you can play around with the colour making it lighter or darker. I put a very thin layer for the swatch I took. I'm a bit disappointed in "Black Cherry" because I thought it was going to be a bit different than what it was. However, it makes a good colour for lips for my Poison Ivy costume, so I'll probably use it then. I love "Sorbet" because you can layer it over other lipsticks and it gives it such a pretty, sparkly finish. The downside to all the glimmer effects in the gloss is that when you take it off you can smear glitter EVERYWHERE. When I was switching between colours for swatches I got it all around my mouth and it was hard to remove. I wanted "Pink Frost" for highlighting on my lips and it will be a perfect colour for really dramatic smokey eyes. "Pink" is just...hot (not very helpful i know, but it looks a lot prettier and more vibrant in person I think).
