Hey Guys!
As you all know, I love Sigma brushes. They have become a staple in my everyday makeup routine since I received my first set last year. I'm an avid fan of MAC, especially their brushes, and these are very comparable in quality, design, variety...etc. I've been using these three brushes everyday for over a month now so I feel I can give an honest review of how these brushes live up to what they are designed for.
"Introducing the new Sigmax brush line for high definition, flawless makeup application. The brushes in this collection feature exclusive Sigmax filament, specially designed to apply powder and liquid products without absorption into the fibers. The shape, density and height of the filaments were carefully engineered to perfectly buff products onto the skin, resulting in a high definition effect."
All three brushes are made with synthetic Sigmax HD filament (I'm unsure of exactly what that is). These brushes are like dense duo fibres and are some have some of the softest bristles I have ever used! All three brushes work amazing with liquid and cream products. I don't use these for powder products, even though they are said to apply powder just as well, but I feel they are too dense for proper powder application. I think they work great for blending/buffing out powder after it has been distributed with a different brush (my personal preference).
The F82 Round Top Kabuki brush: simplifies precise makeup application under the eyes and around the nose. This brush is also perfect for achieving flawless coverage using liquid and powder products.
- I like using this brush for either foundation or cream blush. It works perfectly at buffing in liquid/cream products because of the round, dense design of the brush. I've been using this brush more for creme blushes than for foundation because I prefer the Flat Top Kabuki for foundation application.
The F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush: is perfect for applying and blending liquid, cream, and powder products onto the skin. The flat surface allows perfect buffing with flawless results.
- I've been using this brush every single day for foundation application. Prior to using this brush I was using my ELF Powder Brush which is dense and has a flat top as well, but it isn't nearly as soft, it is much larger, and it isn't made of the same fibres as the Sigma brush. I find my skin has been looking better lately, and I haven't been using a different foundation, just these brushes. My NARS Sheer Glow works especially well with this brush!
The F84 Angled Top Kabuki brush: is the perfect brush for precise, yet blended application of products on the cheeks. It seamlessly applies cream, powder and liquid products.
- I love this brush for contouring with my Chanel Bronze Universel! I was having a hard time using my MAC 190 as it would ALWAYS shed and leave hairs in the tub, but this Sigma brush doesn't shed or leave any stray hairs in the product.
Disclaimer: I am a Sigma Affiliate. These brushes were sent to me for review. As always, these are my honest opinions.
